Relove

Relove (Bahaal Technologies Pvt Ltd) incorporated in Mumbai , India is a technology platform that enables brands to deploy a peer-to-peer resale marketplace; as well as liquidate damaged inventory. Founded in 2021 by Kirti Poonia and Prateek Gupte, Relove has been deployed with brands across categories such Indian Wear, Kids Wear, Western Wear and Sarees. There are more than 9 billion pieces of clothing lying idle in people’s wardrobe due to various reasons such as – size, trends or boredom. Relove aims to build a circular economy by ensuring that there is a resell button for every item sold in the world.

The founders bring in rich experience in both technology and lifestyle. In her last role, Kirti Poonia, built one of India’s largest apparel & lifestyle marketplace for rural artisans to directly sell to customers www.Okhai.org,  scaling from 350 to 27,000 artisans. As part of TAS (Tata Administrative Services) Kirti has worked across 6 Tata Companies.  As a 3 time tech founder, Prateek spent the last 5 years working on conversational AI at JIO Haptik. Prateek plans to use his technology and AI experience to enable circular economies to develop solutions that address the climate change challenge. 

The fashion industry is the second largest environmental pollutant globally, and is actively seeking to adopt sustainable practices to lower adverse impact on climate change. India’s fashion and apparel industry growing at a CAGR% of 15% is expected to touch $250bn by Year 2030. We expect a significant segment of this to become circular, with enablers such as Relove supporting their journey.

Relove forms part of the Creative and Circular economy within the context of the 3C’s areas of focus for Hearth ventures.
