A Big Indian Story (ABIS) is a Direct to Customer sustainable fashion start-up, part of Little Dreams Studios Pvt Ltd, incorporated in Pune , India
ABIS designs and retails contemporary and artisan-crafted bags, wallets, shoes and clothing & accessories for all genders. A fusion of genuine plant-based leathers or recycled PU with Indian traditional handicraft embellishments is used for bags and wallets. Hemp and organic cotton based apparel, and apple skin leather, cactus leather and Pinatex based vegan footwear augment the range.
The founders, Anuradha Alurkar and Sriram Swaminathan are pioneering a sustainable fashion movement in India. Their aim for ABIS is to be a leading apparel and accessories brand using sustainable materials and Indian heritage crafts and craftsmanship. This falls at the intersection of our 3 Cs of Creativity, Culture and Circularity at Hearth Ventures. From an online presence selling largely through their own online India store, ABIS plans to expand distribution in India and globally.
